Read here what has happened in the past six months

What is LEADER?
Under LEADER, Local Action Groups award grant funding to local businesses and organisations to help them carry out projects which create jobs and benefit the rural economy.

The LEADER scheme is part of the Rural Development Programme for England which is managed by the Rural Payments Agency and funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

A Local Action Group is made up of local public, private and community representatives, who work together to agree priorities and award funding to projects that meet those priorities.

Plumpton College is the Accountable Body for the Wealden and Rother Rural (WARR) Partnership LEADER Local Action Group.

The WARR Partnership has been awarded 1.472M * This money will be used to support projects proposed by farmers, growers, foresters, other small rural businesses and rural community groups that will benefit the economy of the LEADER area.
*the amount is subject to the sterling/euro exchange rate fluctuations and was calculated at 1 euro = 0.80
